Race (2008)

Ranvir and Rajiv are half brothers who own a huge stud farm in South Africa. Ranvir is a very shrewd and aggressive man while Rajiv is laid back, and a chronic alcoholic. Sophia, Ranvir's personal secretary adores and loves him. Ranvir is unaware of her feelings. Shaina, an Indian ramp model in Durban loves Ranvir but through a twist of fate gets married to his younger brother Rajiv. When she discovers that Rajiv is a chronic alcoholic, her world is shattered. Ranvir too is disturbed as he has sacrificed his love for his younger brother because Rajiv had promised to leave alcohol for good if he marries Shaina. In a weak moment Ranvir and Shaina come very close to each other. When Rajiv starts suspecting, all hell breaks loose. A murder is committed, a contract killing is issued. Unfortunately, Rajiv continues to drink, Sonia regrets her decision to get married to him, and starts getting intimate with Ranvir. When Rajiv finds out, he decides to kill himself, but instead Ranvir ends up getting killed. Rajiv and Sonia hope to inherit the estate, but they end up getting quite a shock when Ranvir's Personal Secretary, Sophia, claims that she is Ranvir's wife, and decides to keep the estate to herself. Widowed businessman, Sudhirbhai lives a wealthy lifestyle with his son, Vikram, who is student at National College. He is very affectionate toward Vikram and will do anything for him. His business partner is Goswami, who is also widowed, and has two children, a son, Mahesh, a daughter, Reema, who are good friends of Vikram, and the two businessmen expect to cement their relationship by getting Reema married to Vikram. But when Reema meets and falls in love with Amit Verma, who lives with his taxi-driver dad, mom - Shanti, and sister - Munni, things change dramatically as Sudhirbhai uses his underworld contacts in order to pressurize Verma to get his son to forget Reema, and he does this by destroying his taxi by a bomb. Verma does manage to convince Amit to stay away from Reema, but both meet again and renew their love - prompting Sudhirbhai to threaten Reema that he will get Amit gravely injured, and possibly killed, if she does not get married to Vikram. Amit Verma the son of an honest and poor taxi driver attends National College. He is an honest and handsome young man who soon falls in love with Reema Goswami, the daughter of Mr. Goswami who owes his intelligence to wealthy Sudhirbhai, a businessman with underworld contact. Sudhir hopes to get his only son, Vicky alias Vikram married to Reema one day. But Reema has no such plans on her mind since she too loves Amit. When Vikram finds out about Reema and Amit's love he objects to there meeting and warned Amit but to no avail. When he finds that things are going out of hand he complains to his father who threatens, Mr. Verma, Amit's father, to get his son to forget Reema, he even destroys one of his cabs using a bomb. Verma does manage to convince his son to forget Reema but both reach again and reconstruct there love thus escalating conflicts to a proportion that Sudhirbhai is forced to threaten Reema that he will either killed or seriously injured Amit. Reema openly agrees to marry Vikram as she does not want to risk her lover's life.
